Tohajiilee Street/Road Sign Installation

September 20 & 21, 2016

DCD Mangers and Temps assist in installing Street/Road Signs in the the community of Tohajiilee.

Attaching blade signs on a 8-foot post before the post is install to the “anchor” base-post. Please notice that the Tohajiilee street names have last or personal names on them which are today not recommended to use on street signs, but these names were chosen before the Navajo Nation Rural Addressing Implementation Documents and Standards were created. Tohajiilee was the first community that was involved in a Pilot Project that the State of New Mexico Rural Addressing 9-1-1 Contractor, Bernalillo County Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP), our old E9-1-1 Office all assisted and began the addressing activities in 2008.
